Disability Sports Australia (DSA) proudly announces its adoption of Sport Integrity Australia's (SIA) National Integrity Framework (NIF), reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and governance within its operations.

DSA joins over 80 Australian Sporting Organisations in embracing the NIF, pioneering a world-first approach to addressing integrity issues in sport. This collaborative effort reflects a collective determination to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and safety in Australian sport, ensuring a level playing field for all participants, at all levels of sport.

The updated SIA NIF addresses five key integrity-related policies, including:

  • Safeguarding Children and Young People

  • Member Protection

  • Competition Manipulation and Sport Gambling

  • Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine

  • Complaints, Disputes, and Discipline

This milestone underscores DSA's proactive approach to addressing the evolving challenges facing sports integrity.

By adopting Sport Integrity Australia's National Integrity Framework, DSA sets a new standard for integrity and governance within the disability sports sector. In a further demonstration of the organisation’s commitment to integrity, DSA is currently participating in the Safeguarding in Sport Continuous Improvement Program

The program provides sports with education, training and ongoing support so they can offer a safe and inclusive environment to all members, including children.
