DSR and Ground Zero Gaming Unveil Gaming & Esports Initiative
Source: Disability Sport & Recreation
Disability Sport and Recreation (DSR) has partnered with Australian esports company, Ground Zero Gaming (GZG), to launch a gaming and e-sports initiative. The program centres around the wildly popular game, Rocket League.
Open to all skill levels, the initiative offers workshops, skills training, grading matches, and an action-packed eight-week competition that started May 29. DSR CEO Liz Tesone expressed excitement, stating, "We believe this gaming experience will create enjoyment, new relationships and extend across the community. Please enjoy this with us, whether as a player or watching the community grow."
Rocket League combines high-speed car racing and soccer, featuring dynamic gameplay where rocket-powered vehicles execute gravity-defying moves to score goals with an enormous ball. With cross-platform play and competitive seasons, Rocket League delivers non-stop excitement and opportunities for players to climb the ranks.
GZG, an esports organisation since 2017, has triumphed in Rocket League, League of Legends, and Overwatch. Their victories in the Oceanic Major and representation at global events highlight their prowess.
